We’re almost in the middle of the year folks and I am living for it! I have absolutely no idea why I’m rushing time like this, but I’m really looking forward to this year passing quickly. Maybe something big in 2019 is calling me! But anyhoo, here are 10 things I’m loving these days.
1| Two of my favorite TV shows started back late last month and they have saved me as I had absolutely nothing to watch. I have a love hate relationship with Billions (comes on Showtime) and then there is The Americans. I wrote allllll about them here.
2| I remember back in the day, we always dreamt of sleeping on a water bed. But yeah, that never happened (boo). But now! I have a waterbase pillow from Mediflow and it is everything dreams are made of. I can make it as soft or firm as I like, my sleep is sounder, I no longer have a stiff neck on mornings and the support is just phenomenal.
3| I’m trying out this new BHA (exfoliator) to get into those pores and clean them out and boy, it is doing wonders. It’s a blackhead solution and keeps my face from feeling congested and agitated. It’s still too early to call it a holy grail but it’s on the right track!
4| Been rocking these Sunglass Warehouse sunnies constantly since I got them. This brand is pretty sturdy and gives quite the fashion staple if you ask me. As a 33 year old gal, I have no time for creating additional fine lines by squinting. So sunnies it is, all day any day. The options make me dizzy though! This pair brings out the Instagram model in me and this one gives me that “not bothered (even when I’m bothered)” persona I so love to tote around. And oof! This pair! Lol, shall we say 1970s librarian?
5| So hubs and I celebrated our one year anniversary this past Saturday (yay us!) and for gift giving we wanted to be traditional yet modern. So! We found the best way to do that by sticking to gifting paper (fit for one year of marriage) but instead of the average card or photo, we had Jessica Woodhouse create our very own illustration portrait. Once we saw her Instagram page, we ordered instantly! It’s the sweetest thing and we plan to do a lot more as time moves along with us.
6| This book for inspiration, gratitude and perspective.
7| Did you see my Okinawan Sweet Potato (purple sweet potato) nice cream? LOL! It was divine! (albeit a little weird).
8| This IG account makes me wanna live in NYC just to recreate these shots.
9| I’m into rainbow tees at the moment and this one is pretty adorbs.
10| My nails are how I wish April to be, short, smooth and pretty bland with a slight peep of interesting.
Oh! One other thing. I finally got a grown up camera! Exciting times. I got the Sony Alpha 6000. I’m still playing around with it, but so far, I’m in love.
